伽利略卫星的平衡形状参数和潮汐耗散因子

摘    要

    木星的四颗大卫星都是同步轨旋卫星,常被称为伽利略卫星。美国发射的伽利略飞船自199512月抵达木星系统后,近几年来对木星的四颗伽利略卫星进行了一系列的探测。利用飞船探测的最新资料作为约束条件,建立了伽利略卫星的一组内部结构模型;然后按照同步轨旋卫星的形状理论公式计算了它们的平衡形状参数及潮汐耗散因子等。

Equilibrium Shapes and Tidal Dissipation Factors of Galilean Satellites

Abstract

    Jupiter's four large moons, Io, Europa, Ganymede, and Callisto, are orbiting synchronously, and are all known as Galilean satellites after Galileo Galilei, who discovered them in 1610. NASA's Galileo spacecraft, which reached the Jupiter system in 1995, has deepened our understanding of Galilean satellites in the past few years. In this paper, we use the new geodetic data (see Table 1) to construct a series of models for the internal structure of Galilean satellites, and to calculate their parameters of equilibrium shape and the tidal dissipation factors .
